Maximise your permanent employment opportunities as a teacher

Indicate that you are willing to teach in rural and remote locations of the state in your application for employment as a teacher in NSW public schools and maximise your opportunities for employment.

If you wish to change the locations in which you are prepared to accept a permanent teaching position, it is better for you to nominate specific school locations and areas in which you would accept an offer.

If you wish to make changes to your location preferences after receiving your final approval to teach in NSW public schools you are now able to update your location preferences in Employee Self Services (ESS) by navigating to ‘my details’ and then ‘my preferences’. A quick help guide has also been created to assist you through this process.
