As a teacher in the public education system you will be part of one of the largest organisations in the southern hemisphere: an organisation which has served the State of NSW for over 150 years.
We are an organisation of great tradition yet capable of great flexibility in meeting the challenging demands of societal change.
The Department provides school education for over 730,000 students from preschool to Year 12 throughout NSW.
We have around 80,000 casual, temporary and permanent teachers working in our schools.
It sounds enormous and it is. We are also an organisation which values and celebrates the achievements of its students and teachers.
