Learn about the 2010 Graduate Recruitment Program
All final year education students wishing to apply for employment as a teacher in NSW public schools should attend the teach.NSW information session held at your campus during March and April 2009.
This session will be presented by practising school executives and teachers from public schools in metropolitan and rural NSW. It will provide you with essential information about the 2010 program including:
- The advantages for graduates in applying through the program
- Why the NSW Department of Education and Training is the employer of choice for graduate teachers
- Employment opportunities and options
- The application process
- The interview process
- Obtaining an interim teaching approval for 2009
- Explore Your Future program
- NSW Institute of Teachers
If you attend any of the information sessions at participating universities, you will be provided with a GradGUIDE, an application package designed to assist you in completing your application for employment.
It may not always be possible for all students, particularly those who are studying externally or by distance, to attend a teach.NSW presentation at a university campus. All information relevant to your application for employment is on this website including the GradGUIDE distributed at the campus presentations.
In this part of the site, you can view the PowerPoint presentation which was shown to students at the teach.NSW presentation as well as the short video clips.
